Amruta Fadnavis, wife of Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, has filed a case against Anshika and her father, alleging blackmail and conspiracy. “She asked me to wear her designs at public events and this would help promote her clothes, jewelery and footwear. I sympathized… and said OK,” he added.

The police registered a case against Anshika and her father under Section 120 (B) of the Indian Penal Code and Sections 8 and 12 of the Prevention of Corruption Act, 1988.

Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis told the assembly that this is a political conspiracy to implicate his family members. He added that there may be interference from some political leaders.
