After attack on London Mission, India lifts security barriers outside British High Commission, Ambassador’s residence
Delhi: Days after Khalistan supporters attacked the Indian High Commission in the UK, the Indian government in Delhi has downgraded the security provided to the British Embassy in the national capital.
Barricades erected outside the British High Commission at Chandipad in Chanakyabauri consular area have been removed and there is no security outside the residence of British High Commissioner Alex Ellis at Rajaji Marg, news agency ANI reported.
The British High Commission did not respond to the request, saying they do not comment on security matters, and there were no reports of reductions in security personnel deployed, a report said.
