India vs Australia: Wife Athiya Shetty’s Post For “Most Resilient” KL Rahul After Striking Form Is Pure Love

It was a much-needed redemption for KL Rahul. The talented Thunder have been on fire for most of the past year. In all three formats, Rahul has been unable to score big runs, leading to huge criticism. But everything changed on Friday. Rahul scored an unbeaten 75* to lead India to a five-wicket win in the first ODI of the three-match series against Australia. Rahul came in to bat as India struggled to 16/3. He then saw India lose two more wickets for 83 runs chasing 189 runs.

However, Rahul stayed calm and took India home with his 13th half-century. He shared a 100-plus stand with Ravindra Jadeja (45*). His performance was appreciated by all. There was also a special message from his wife Athiya Shetty. “To the most determined person I know…#klrahul,” Athiya wrote in an Instagram story with a picture of Rahul and Jadeja.
Sunil Shetty’s daughter Athiya and Rahul got married on January 24.

Rahul, who was dropped from the third and fourth Tests against Australia due to poor form, was also praised by stand-in captain Hardik Pandya.

“I am very proud of the way we played today. Jattu (Ravindra Jadeja) came back from ODIs after 8 months and did what he had to do. I enjoyed my bowling and batting and wanted to finish it but the way KL (Rahul) and Jattu batted, which calmed the onlookers,” said Pandya, India’s stand-in captain for the tournament in Wankhede.

Rahul, who usually opens for India, has been brought in at number 5 following the Test defeat. But despite the chips down, he played patiently, consuming 96 balls for his 75 runs.
