Rahul Dravid went to Bengaluru due to health issues
Former Indian captain and current head coach Rahul Dravid left for Bengaluru early on Friday, while the rest of the Indian cricket team, including other support staff, will leave for Thiruvananthapuram for the third and final ODI against Sri Lanka. Dravid took an early morning flight from Kolkata to Bengaluru due to health reasons. He reportedly complained of blood pressure problem during the second ODI on Thursday and was examined by the Cricket Association of Bengal doctors.
There is no reason to worry about Dravid’s health as he is fully fit and likely to join the team in Thiruvananthapuram on Saturday ahead of Sunday’s match. Photos of Dravid getting on a flight to Bengaluru in good health also went viral on social media.
The Indian head coach, who turned 50 on January 11, has visited Bengaluru to consult his doctors and undergo some precautionary tests.

India have been in good form so far in the Sri Lanka series. After winning the T20I 2-1, the hosts have taken an unassailable 2-0 lead in the three-match ODI series. The Rohit Sharma-led side won the series opener in Guwahati by 67 runs on the back of excellent batting from Rohit, Shubman Gill and Virat Kohli.
In the 2nd ODI in Kolkata, it was their bowlers who came into play. Left-arm wrist spinner Kuldeep Yadav, who replaced leg-spinner Yuzvendra Chahal on his return to 50-over cricket, broke the backbone of Sri Lanka’s batting line-up with three crucial wickets, including captain Dasun Shanka’s. .
