According to the police, Mr Rana’s wife Sachi Marwa was on her way home from work in Delhi’s Kirti Nagar when two men on a two-wheeler swerved, approached the vehicle she was traveling in and rammed the car. Ms Marwa captured the act on her phone and posted the pictures of the two on her social media handle.
She alleged that the Delhi Police did not register her complaint initially and told her to “leave it” as she reached home safely.
“An ordinary day in Delhi. I was on my way home from work. These guys started hitting my car randomly! For no reason, followed and chased me. When I complained, the police told me on the phone, ‘Now you’ve reached home safely, let it go! Next time, number note car.’ Lena’ (note the number next time). Hey Captain, next time I’ll take their phone numbers too!” Ms. Marwa shares her Instagram stories.
Ms Marwa is an ‘Architectural Designer’ by profession and is married to Indian Premier League (IPL) team Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) cricketer Nitish Rana, according to her social media handles.
