Nigerian national arrested for drug supply in Delhi-NCR

New Delhi, March 13 (PTI) A 29-year-old Nigerian national has been arrested for drug distribution in Delhi-NCR, police said on Monday.
They said 1,050 grams of Methaqualone drug was seized from the accused identified as Oluebube Damain.
Damine came to India from Nigeria in 2019 on a three-month visa and after the visa expired, he continued to live illegally in the country, police said.
Special Commissioner of Police (Crime) Ravindra Singh Yadav said the accused was arrested for supplying the drug methaculone to an unidentified person at Mohan Garden in Uttam Nagar.
Police said 1,050 grams of methaculone, a light yellow substance worth several crores in the international market, was recovered from him.
A case has been registered under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act, he said.
