PM Modi UP CM Adityanath ‘saints’ says Sadhvi Niranjan Jyoti
Ballia (UP), June 2 (PTI) Union Minister Sadhvi Niranjan Jyoti has called Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath “saints” and credited the Prime Minister with “changing” the country’s climate.
Speaking at a religious event on Thursday, Union Minister of State for Rural Development Jyoti said Modi had done in Parliament what other prime ministers “didn’t want to do”.
“Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath are punitas (saints). Whoever dedicates his life to someone else is a saint,” said Jyoti, who is also Union Minister of State for Consumer Affairs, Food and Public Distribution.
He praised the Prime Minister for paving the way for the construction of a Ram temple in Ayodhya and for revoking Article 370 which granted special status to Jammu and Kashmir.
The prime minister has “changed the situation in the country”, Jyoti said without elaborating.
“The path to build a Ram temple in Ayodhya has been paved by Parliament. Today, the whole world is a fan of Modi,” he said.
“Today a bulldozer is moving in the Yogi government. People who were close to MPs and MLAs in previous governments were involved in criminal activities,” Jyoti said.
Resolving a century-old issue, the Supreme Court in a historic judgment on November 9, 2019, upheld the construction of a Ram temple by a trust at the disputed site in Ayodhya and awarded five acres of land in exchange. A mosque should be found in the holy city of Hindus.
