Cong releases manifesto for Karnataka polls; promises to repeal all ‘anti-people laws’ passed by BJP govt
The Congress on Tuesday pledged to repeal all “unjust and anti-people laws” enacted by the BJP government in Karnataka within a year of coming to power, in its manifesto for the May 10 assembly polls.
State President D.K.Sivakumar, C.L.P. The manifesto released by Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge in the presence of President Siddaramaiah and others reiterated the five guarantees of Gruha Jyoti, Gruha Lakshmi, Anna Bhagya, Yuvanidhi and Shakti. .
“All unjust and anti-people laws enacted by the BJP government will be repealed within one year of coming to power,” the Congress has promised in its election manifesto.
The manifesto ‘Sarva Janangada Shanthiya Thota'(Peaceful garden of all communities) includes the Shakti scheme of providing free travel in regular KSRTC/ BMTC buses to all women across the state and the Gruha Lakshmi scheme, the head of every woman’s household. 2,000 will be received.
Kharge said, “I am giving a sixth assurance that these assurances will be strictly fulfilled in the first cabinet meeting on the first day of formation of the government.”
