BENGALURU: A video of an autorickshaw driver breaking the helmet of a bike taxi driver in Bengaluru and abusing him has gone viral, prompting police action. Bengaluru police have registered a case after the video went viral on social media.
A bike taxi driver, hails from the North-East and works with the aggregator Rabido. In the video, the auto driver can be heard saying that auto drivers are losing customers because of him.

“Guys, see how the illegal Rapido business is going. This guy is from another country and drives like a king,” says the auto driver. He also said that this is a threat to the automobile industry.

The incident reportedly took place near Bengaluru’s Indira Nagar metro station on Monday.

The video was captured by a witness, who later shared it on Twitter, demanding action against the police.

Bengaluru police said that strict action will be taken.

“Police in Indiranagar are investigating the incident. Strict and necessary action will be taken,” Bengaluru city police said in a tweet.
